Who Owns the Future by Jaron Lanier.
Dense read that dives into where we're going. Covers cultural, tech, business, and social. Not too political. It focused on humanity as we are continually absorbed into software.
In the end he proposes an interesting humanistic economy with a 2-way copy method of digital files to keep rights and payment in place. Far different from the current system of free web and spy agencies.
Lots more in this book.
Well worth the read.
